Android Operating System (smartphones and tablets)

Possible compatibility with Java and Jmol needs to be documented.

A collection of notes about possible support for Jmol under Android:

  • Latest Jmol prerelease has been prepared (but not yet tested; reports are welcome) to be able to run under Android. Since Android doesn't include the Swing Java class, the pop-up menu, the console and the prompt command used for asking for saving files from the signed applet will not work. But other functionality may work.
  • AlwaysOnPC ($20) gives you over 40 apps you can use from your Android device. For example, browse with Google Chrome or Firefox with Java support.
