Demonstration of possible ways to include Jmol applets in wiki pages based on MediaWiki

Using the Jmol MediaWiki Extension

Hand-crafted methods

Allow full functionality, need a good knowledge of the Extension syntax.

Using templates

Simpler implementations without knowing the Extension.

Using a template similar to Wikipedia's ChemBox

  • MediaWiki/ChemBox1 uses a link to open a JmolApplet in a popup window.
  • MediaWiki/ChemBox2 uses a link to insert a JmolApplet inline in the page. (Not yet ready, needs an update of the extension)
